We pride ourselves on being the premier high-density mango farm in Lahaina, Hawaii. Our farm is not just a place to grow delicious and juicy mangos, but also a place where we incorporate regenerative agriculture and permaculture principles to grow our fruit sustainably.

Mangos have a rich and fascinating history that can be traced back to their origin in India. Known as the "King of Fruits," mangos were cultivated in India for over 4,000 years before being introduced to other parts of the world. They were valued for their sweet taste and were often given as gifts to kings and other high-ranking officials.

The spread of mangos throughout the world is a story of exploration, trade, and cultural exchange. Portuguese traders introduced mangos to Africa and Brazil in the 16th century, and from there, the fruit was carried to the Caribbean and eventually to Hawaii. In Lahaina, mangos have been grown for over 100 years, and the local community has developed a deep love and appreciation for the fruit.

At Maui Mango Mala, we continue this tradition by growing a rich variety of mangos using high-density planting techniques. Our approach to farming is based on regenerative agriculture and permaculture principles. We use techniques such as intercropping, mulching, and composting to enrich the soil and create a biodiverse and sustainable ecosystem.
